How do you support your family on minimum wage?

We have 2 kids one 7 and a 6 monthh old, Hubby was made redundant recently and he has been desperately looking for work in IT but there's nothing about so we are looking at other alternatives.....we just cant see how we can rent a 3 bed house (�700ish p/m), pay tax (100 p/m) run cars, buy food etc on minimum wae, or anything much less than �25k a year! What do you guys do? Howe do you survive?
