If I re-format my Vista boot drive how can I transfer 3 years of MS Updates to it without downloading?
I wish to completely re-format my hard drive and re-install the Vista system files - a factory reset - which I have no problem doing. I have an Acer Aspire 7720g laptop with the Acer Recovery Management utility which I wish to use. The only trouble is I purchased this laptop in Jan. 2008 so I have 3.5 years of Microsoft updates to upload. Is it possible to save (or copy) all these updates to an external USB hard drive/USB stick and how do I install them rather than downloading from the internet? The area where I live has such a very slow internet connection and I am also limited as to how much I can download per month. Can anybody help me please?
