Which athlete is the most dominant in his respective sport?

Babe Ruth, in my opinion. He was hitting 50 home runs at a time when nobody else could even hit 20. Look at most sluggers today. It's rare that somebody can hit 40+ and have a .300 or better batting average. Ruth retired a .340 hitter (better than Tony Gwynn!!) in addition to his home runs. That's dominance.
