Can my boyfriend sue me over finances in the relationship?

My boyfriend and I are in the middle of a break up. He's threatening to sue me in civil court over finances in the relationship. Such as credit card debt. He's been charging almost everything and wants me to pay half. This is stuff like, gas, some food, restaurants etc. This isn't about utilities or rent or anything with our names on it. Those bills I take care of and pay my half.
