What is the role of Marxists in climate history?

I'm not sure which question came first, but neither your question nor his belong in this category. He is obsessed with Marxism, communism, socialism, conservatism, etc. to such a degree that whatever science training he claims to have had has been severely compromised. If there was more science and less politics this would be an infinitely better category.
